Money Box Appeal
Isle of Play formed 14 months ago, with the aim of making the Isle of Man a more child friendly place for children to play and grow. Over the summer holidays we brought play to local communities and were accessed by over 4000 children, add this to the 12,000 children we saw in the previous 12 months and you can imagine just how busy we’ve been.
We’re now firmly in our second year of existence and we plan to expand our services to reach more children more regularly across the island, to do so we really could use your support. We’re currently a very small team of only 2 full-time staff and certainly aren’t in the fortunate position of having a team of fundraisers, and this is where we’re hoping you can help…
Simply put, we’ll bring your school nursery or setting a blank cardboard money box for every child to take home, build and decorate. Then over the course of a term they simply fill the box with loose change. We’ll then collect them from you and count the money… simple! The appeal will run from September to October half term and we would be more than happy to come and introduce the appeal to your school assembly or setting and explain how the money will be used to fund our services.
As an added incentive we’re offering the school with the best decorated box a full day of den building/play session with us at the end of the summer term for the whole school to take part in!
As a charity we have the potential to positively impact the lives of every child on the Island and we sincerely hope you can help us do so.
